Shelving and Shelf-Reading

  

Shelving

 

  1. The Circulation Department is responsible for daily shelving in the following areas:
    1. ANYTHING behind the Circulation Desk
    2. General Collection Audiocassettes
    3. General Collection Oversize AV
    4. General Collection Videorecordings
    5. Locked Case Materials

 

The staff members usually take the initiative to take returned materials to the sorting shelves and do the above shelving when there is a quiet moment at the desk.  

 

Shelf-Reading

 

     2. The Circulation Department is responsible for shelf-reading the following areas:

     

      1. Open Textbook area   
      2. ANYTHING behind Circulation Desk (Instructor Reserves, Media Faculty Reserves, Telecourses, etc.)
      3. Media Center Videos
      4. Media Center DVDs
      5. General Collection Videorecordings
      6. PBS Collection
      7. General Collection Audiocassettes
      8. General Collection Oversize AV

     

    This is a scheduled task and is monitored with a log located at the Circulation Desk.
