PA System

Near the Circulation Desk printer is a microphone for making announcement over the Public Address (PA) system in the library. We use this only when necessary, and typically reserve it for emergencies. If a patron asks us to page someone over the PA system, we do not do it unless it is an EMERGENCY.

This system is also used to broadcast the closing announcements. These announcements are scheduled tasks on the computer next to the printer. They run automatically, but need to be adjusted every time we change our hours (for example, when we go from one semester to another).
